So how does all of the food for the volunteers get to the mission field?
There is a team of ladies that work behind the scenes in the Tampa area to develop the menu and shopping lists. If a CWE container is being sent to the project location, the non-perishable food items for the entire project are purchased and loaded onto pallets to be packed in the container with the tools and equipment. Then the week prior to each team leaving, the remaining items are purchased and packed into suitcases and coolers to be taken with the teams.
If a CWE container is not being sent then the food is purchased one week at a time and packed into suitcases and coolers prior to each teams departure.
